The Reunion: Adult Summer Camp, October 2026

Coming back together for the very first time.

Join The Reunion

Human Generated Fun

In 2013, with some dear friends, we created Camp Grounded, a summer camp for adults where time and time again, “campers” were able to reconnect to childlike joy, playful authenticity and profound community connection. It’s thirteen years later and that camp magic is needed more than ever … so we’re creating a space for EVERYONE to come together again!

Dear Campers,

Let’s escape the stress of adult life and the “doom” in our feeds, to find connection with each other and nourish ourselves in nature.

The Reunion is for anyone who wants to go back to a time when it seemed easier to be yourself and be with friends, old and new. When boredom led to adventure and playing outside was a given.

That time can feel impossibly far away … but it’s not, and we’re going back!

Whether you attended Camp Grounded, always wanted to go, miss your old camp, or are just nostalgic for a better time, this Reunion is for YOU. You’re invited to come back (for the first time).

How The Reunion Works

The Reunion is a co-created event where we do the heavy lifting: the venue, the meals, the gathering spaces, and everything that keeps camp running.
You bring the magic. Whether it’s a sunrise yoga session, teaching your friends how to do tie dye, or a creative offering we never could have anticipated. Campers make The Reunion what it is.

Programming submissions and grant applications will be available after registration.

Camp Agreements

Every camp has its ways. Here are ours.

Bring Back the Nicknames

When you arrive, claim a camp name, maybe one from childhood, maybe something brand new. A nickname lets you loosen your grip on who you’re supposed to be and remember who you’ve always been.

Vacation from Work Talk

Nobody here cares about your inbox. Leave job titles, networking energy, and “what do you do?” at home. Bring who you are, not what you produce.

Time Is Fuzzy

No watches. No alarms. No checking the hour. From seconds to minutes to months to years we’re letting go of the hold time has on us. We keep time by bells, we move by intuition, and we don’t share our age so we can act how we feel.

Unplug to Plug In

This is a screen-free gathering. No phones, no laptops, no smart watches, no sneaky scrolling. Look up. Make eye contact. Be here.

No Alcohol or Drugs

This is a sober-centered event. We are excited about the presence and connection that can be created in sober spaces. Let’s all honor the uniqueness of an experience without drugs or alcohol and take care of those of us in our community who only feel safe in those spaces.

Frequently Asked
Questions

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $499/person. This includes 3 nights, all meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast, and all activities and programming. Tent camping is included free. Lodging upgrades (cabins, glamping, bunks) are available during checkout.

Who is The Reunion for?

The Reunion is a 21+ adult camp experience. It’s for former campers, the camp-curious, and anyone who wants to unplug, connect, and co-create something meaningful for a long weekend in the redwoods.

Is this basically Camp Grounded?

From 2013-2017 we ran Camp Grounded, which this event is inspired by. That said, we’re in different times and this is a different event. We’re keeping the authentic spirit while empowering participants to co-create the experience.

When does camp start and end?

Gates open Thursday, October 8 at 3:00pm. Dinner is served at 6:00pm. Late registration closes at 10:00pm each night and reopens at 8:00am. Camp concludes Sunday, October 11 with a Closing Circle after breakfast. Departure is before lunch.

Can I leave early? Are there in-and-outs?

You are welcome to leave early if needed. However, there are no in-and-outs. Once you leave camp, we’ll consider your weekend complete.

Where will I sleep?

Your ticket includes BYO tent camping. Additional lodging options, including cabins, glamping tents, and other structures, are available to add on. All purchased housing includes bedding and linens. If tent camping, bring your own sleeping gear.

Are there showers / bathrooms?

Yes! Full bathhouses with hot water showers are located a short walk from all cabins and camping areas. They’re available to everyone — whether you’re in a cabin, glamping tent, or BYO tent. Cabins do not have private bathrooms.

Is food included?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast. Dietary needs are accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and common allergies. 24-hour nitro-brewed coffee available all weekend.

Is this a digital detox?

Personal devices are not permitted for use during camp. We won’t confiscate devices, but we provide sealable envelopes if you choose to put your phone away. We may use limited shared tech for things like karaoke or silent disco. The spirit is presence, not policing.

Will there be alcohol?

No. The Reunion is a sober-centered gathering. No alcohol or drugs will be served or permitted. If we see you with it, we’ll ask you to put it away. If you are inebriated, we will ask you to leave.

Can I lead an offering?

Yes! After purchasing a ticket, you’ll be invited to submit an offering idea. We’ll curate the schedule and may provide a modest supply budget for selected offerings.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to someone else.

How do I get there?

Camp Navarro is in Mendocino County, approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco. Detailed directions will be sent in your pre-camp welcome materials. Parking is included.

Can I bring my kids?

The Reunion is for those who are kids at heart. It's a chance to get back to your inner child, which is hard to do when you have to care for an actual child. For this one, give yourself a break and leave the kids at home.
